Ron Sostaric works in the Aeroscience and Flight Mechanics Division (EG) at NASA Johnson Space Center. He has spent most of his career developing Entry, Descent, and Landing (EDL) Systems for the Earth, Moon, and Mars. Highlights include simulating and flight testing the X-38 Parafoil Guidance, Navigation, and Control (PGNC) software, developing lunar descent and ascent guidance for the ALHAT and Altair projects, serving as the Deputy Project Manager for the Mars EDL Systems Analysis effort, and as Principal Investigator (PI) for two subscale Maraia Capsule high altitude balloon tests. Currently he serves as the SPLICE Project Manager. Ron has a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech and a M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Houston.
