Lucas is currently part of the Flight Opportunities Program where he is serving in a variety of roles, including project management, acquisitions management, and fostering technologies for increasing technology readiness maturation by means of suborbital flight testing. As part of NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center, Lucas has also been part of several projects including Ascent Abort 2 (AA-2) Orion, X-57 Maxwell Experimental Aircraft, and F-15 Supersonic Research Testbed. Prior to joining NASA, he also worked with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) supporting the Agency’s oceanographic remote sensing efforts while simultaneously fostering inter- and intra-agency collaborations.
